The trailer for Jim Henson Idea Man has arrived and it looks amazing. Most of us grew up watching a Jim Henson production: from Sesame Street and The Muppets, to Labyrinth or Dark Crystal, there was something for everyone. I can't wait to watch this DisneyPlus special that goes behind the scenes of Jim's creative life.

Here's the official synopsis from Disney:

"Jim Henson Idea Man" takes us into the mind of this singular creative visionary, from his early years puppeteering on local television to the worldwide success of Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, and beyond. Featuring unprecedented access to Jim's personal archives, filmmaker Ron Howard brings us a fascinating and insightful look at a complex man whose boundless imagination inspired the world.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Featurette And Singing Fizzgigs

The Dark Crystal was one of my favorite films as a child. In this behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, it looks like the cast loved it, too.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is a prequel to the original film. It tells the story of the Gelflings and what happened when they discovered that the Skeksis weren't as benevolent as they seemed.

And now, some fizzgigs singing the song of Thra. Fizzgigs are so cute! The full series, 10 episodes, is now available on Netflix.

Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance looks more and more incredible. According to Netflix, Age of Resistance "returns to the world of Thra with an all-new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world."

These Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance POPVinyl Are Fantastic

Funko has created a fantastic collection of Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance POPVinyl. There are five figures in the collection, plus three special exclusive figures. The standard figures include Rian, Deet with an unnamed animal, Hup, a Skeksis Hunter, and Aughra.

SkekSil the Chamberlain Skeksis is available exclusively at Target. A glow-in-the-dark Deet is available exclusively at FYE. There's also a Skeksis Hunter with a silver mask from the Funko Shop.

In addition to the POPVinyl figures, there are three POP Pez: Rian, a Skeksis, and Aughra. The POPVinyl figures and Pez should be released to coincide with the show's debut on Netflix on August 30.

Last weekend, Netflix released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance at ComicCon. One of the original designers, Brian Froud, returned to help make this new series look much like the original film.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Is Coming to Netflix

The Jim Henson Company and Netflix are working together on an incredible project. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance will be a 10-episode prequel to the iconic film from the 80s. In this new series, three Gelflings learn the terrible secret of the Skeksis' power and set out to start a rebellion to save their world. The show will feature a combination of Henson puppets and cutting edge special effects.

• The Gelfling heroes - Taron Egerton as Rian, Anya Taylor-Jor as Brea, and Nathalie Emmanuel as Deft
• Aughra's voice will be provided by Donna Kimball

I've always loved The Dark Crystal, although I must admit that I was terrified of the Skeksis as a child. I can't wait to see The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance when it debuts on Netflix later this year.
